Is Rieki Technique Energy Healing?

I have been asked many times if the Reiki technique is energy healing. I offermy humble opinion based on my experience as a healer, teacher and student ofReiki.First, let me say that the history of Reiki is shrouded in mystery. The exact origins of Reiki are unknown, although it is thought to have originated inJapan. One of the most commonly accepted version of events is that a man namedDr. Mikao Usui developed the Reiki system in the early 1900s after having aspiritual experience in which he was shown the symbols and techniques thatwould be used in Reiki.

There are many different types of energy healing modalities, and each one hasits own unique approach. Reiki is just one type of energy healing. But whatexactly is Reiki?

The word "Reiki" is made up of two Japanese words - "Rei" which means "God'sWisdom or the Higher Power" and "Ki" which is "life force energy". So Reiki canbe translated as "spiritually guided life force energy."

Reiki practitioners use this special energy to help heal imbalances in thebody, mind, and spirit. The belief is that if our life force energy is low, we:, ཽ‫ފ‬- are more likely to get sick or feel stressed, and if it is high, we are more likely to feel happy and healthy.

During a Reiki treatment, the practitioner will place their hands on or near the person's body, using a light touch or no touch at all. The goal is to encourage the flow of Ki or life force energy to promote balance and healing.

There are many different opinions about whether or not Reiki is effective. Some people believe that it can be helpful for physical, mental, and emotional issues, while others are skeptical about its ability to heal. There is currently no scientific evidence to support or refute these claims.

Ultimately, whether or not you believe in Reiki's ability to heal, I think it's important to remember that it is just one modality of many. There are many different ways to approach energy healing, and what works for one person might not work for another. If you're interested in trying Reiki, I recommend finding a qualified practitioner who you feel comfortable with.
